I’m really excited to be collaborating on a giveaway with a wonderful, trendy company, UncommonGoods! We are giving you a chance to win a $100.00 worth of merchandise from their virtual market place… not sure who UncommonGoods is? Don’t you worry, I plan on introducing you!
Who are they? As I mentioned above, they are a virtual market place where you will find a collection of creative and collaborative people sharing their ingenuity and talents with people like us, people that love to own unique, well crafted items and one of a kind treasures.
Like these cardboard animal heads So awesome!!
UncommonGoods is a company with a real eye on the prize, what exactly does that mean? That means that their focus is on building a sustainable company where their artists use sustainable or recycled materials whenever possible, where they believe using sustainable and environmentally friendlier packing materials will not only benefit them, but benefit us and on a greater scale, benefit the world! This impressive company knows their customers and their carbon footprint matter, they are globally aware of their impact and also take great care in building relationships with non-profit organizations through Better to Give, a program they created that allows their customers to choose partners for them to donate $1 to with every order.
They are also a certified B Corporation… very impressive.
As you can probably guess this is the kind of company I was extremely excited to work with, when they approached me to collaborate, I jumped at the chance. I wanted to give back too, in my own way, I wanted to give to you guys, this is my Christmas gift to you… I want you to be able to shop this awesome market too! Now, on to the fun part, some retail therapy! Whoop!
I chose this dandelion paperweight… it was love at first sight, yes because it’s beautiful but I have a real attraction to dandelions, call me weird… but dandelions really speak to me. It goes all the way back to being a little girl and picking the dandelion when it’s beautiful and fragile seeds are ready to take flight, as a little girl I could not resist picking them and blowing with all my little might, closing my eyes and making a wish. The belief in magic as a child… precious! This weed as some call it means so much to me because they say that this is the flower of a base brat! My Father was a Military man for my whole youth, I was a Base brat, “Children of the world, blown to all corners of the world, we bloom anywhere!” – just like that hardy dandelion.
The wind takes it high
The wind takes it low
But still she will never know
Where the little dandelion will go
Where the little dandelion will grow.

I love that they use recycled material and are environmentally friendly, that’s so important and I really wish more companies did this! I just checked and they deliver to Spain, how cool is that! I live in Spain…Just looking at the homepage I like everything I see. I would probably spend the 100$ on home deco…Thanks so much for this, I think I became a fan!!!

I really liked some of the wall art they have. I’d probably get the one called First Light.
What a lovely giveaway! Beginning to realise our tastes are so similar. I love dandelions too (actually chose it as my logo :-). I’d love to use two of these gorgeous papweights as bookends. Going to check out this fun and unique site.
Wow, so many beautiful and unusual items. It would be hard to choose. I like the hummingbird chandelier. Or the butterfly puddlers, or…. How fun!

You ever wonder what happens to a helium filled balloon that gets away from you and floats away into the sky? Same principle but on the receiving end–I used to wonder where all the dandelion weeds in Sask came from and now I know – a young girl named Laurie in Ont was all to blame – haha! Despite the fact that I have an actual “Experimental Dandelion Farm” joke sign that hangs for 6 mths of the yr on my farm and my love/hate thing with dandies, I do like that Dandelion paperweight and would be tempted to buy that one but … The item that stole my heart completely is their Horseshoe Heart Trivet – I love it and it would be not only an everyday hot plate use item but part of a vignette for V’Day! It is so unique you have to check it out!
That paperweight reminds me a lot of a gift I bought for myself for under the tree this yr – yeah that happens every year – it is a fine line btwn self indulgence and just helping Santa out lol! It is a craft kit to make your own ice lanterns and knowing you love the dandelion paperweight, I am pretty sure you will Love this too – just think about all the candlelight suppers the birds could have at their vintage insulator feeders with these beauties! ~ Kari http://www.wintercraft.com/pages/photogallery
I would get the Desktop Sand Window. Thank you for the chance! 🙂
What a great giveaway! Love that paperweight, too! Good choice. I love the idea of purchasing gifts that do some good around the world and while I’ve heard of Uncommon Goods before, I did not know much about them. Thanks for the introduction. I am definitely entering this contest. Wish me luck 🙂
I would really like the motion magnetic lamp
