My peony obsession started 6 years ago… right around the time I realized the new home we just moved into had 3 well established peony bushes… I’ve been learning (still so much to know) and obsessing about them ever since!
Cozy Living
Hey guys, welcome to July’s cozy living post!!! June was on FF and I seriously hope the rest of the summer slows down, just a tiny bit. This cozy living series is hosted by the very talented, Jennifer from Town & Country Living. We are simply a cozy loving bunch of friends and we love to share how we do cozy/hygge! There are SO many inspiring and creative ways to be and live a cozy life, this is an endless topic really. Please stick around because, at the end of this post the Cozy team is sharing more cozy ways with you!

Getting Cozy with Peonies
I love using flowers in our home, they make a room (in my opinion) come to life! Plants, flowers… add texture and life and beauty, I can’t get enough! Peonies add a whole other level for me, they fill a room (not literally – not YET) with colour and the most beautiful smell! Using flowers creates such gorgeous vignettes too!
This thrifted Monk… be still my heart! <3 Image source
Amber glass with stunning peonies, wowzers!
This one is in our shop.
I LOVED this shot so much I decided to put it in our shop too!
When we moved in, there were 3 peony bushes, and this white one was not noticed right away… someone (we won’t name names) was whipper snipping this beauty all the way back… he had no idea that this gorgeous white was just waiting to show off! <3
You can see all of these shots over on my Instagram… I simply love posting these stunners over there! Or, in our shop, now that the season is over having a peony pillow or three may be just what is needed! 😉 What is your favourite flower, not sure if you guessed mine? hahaha
They look amazing in any glass or in any room…
Dried Peony
Cozy as can be!
I love how the crown of dried peonies made our Fall Porch cozy!
Dried peony are another way to extend the season… I always pop off the buds that don’t quite make it and just let them dry… I’ve hung them upside down, I’ve just laid them on a shelf… and my technique this year, just popping them in a glass jar with no water, that seems to be working too. Easy as can be. They add such a lovely pop of colour and they don’t seem to fade… I made the wreath in our kitchen cabinet (below) 2 years ago! You can see more of that Spring Cabinet here and see how I made that wreath here. Dried peonies add cozy too, don’t you think?

“Can it get any better?”
Maybe hydrangeas n Marthas Vineyard a close tie….
Thank you Beverly!!! I’m excited for hydrangeas, mine did horribly last year, fingers crossed I get to snap some photos of them this year! xo
I Love Peonies too, and all mine are from my 100 year old grannies place. I didn’t even cut one bloom this year I just enjoyed them outside. Now I’m wishing I had after seeing all your beautiful arrangements.
Wow Dawn, that’s just so amazing… I’m not sure I could cut either with that sentimental attachment. You’ll have to snip just one or two next year! 😉
Beautiful post my friend. I love, LOVE your peonies and all your amber glass. Every time I see a piece of amber glass I think of you. And your photography…SO GOOD! As for a favourite flower for me, peonies are it, hands down. But you know, I really love potted up geraniums too, because they never fail me even when I fail them!
Awww, thank you so much my lovely friend, you are simply a beautiful bright light and I am so grateful you pop in to visit me! xo
Such stunners! I want to pin EVERY SINGLE one of these images. I love peonies but our plants don’t seem to thrive. This year we had 3 peonies on 5 plants. Thinking of moving our bushes. What are the light / weather conditions for your peonies. My grandmother loved peonies and they always remind me of her.
Oh no… I’m sad your peonies aren’t doing well… mine are in full on sun, but I do have some that are partial shade. They do take forever to establish… and once moved they will start that taking forever to establish process again. My wisteria isn’t as gorgeous as yours… maybe you can send me wisteria mojo and I’ll send you peony mojo! xo
Gorgeous peonies and beautiful vignettes! I love the pink with the brown bottles. You always have such a knack for arranging treasures!
Thank you my friend… it’s a compulsion/passion! 🙂
oh my Peonie loving heart! your images are gorgeous. that is one bush I have yet to plant around here. not sure what I am waiting for!
DO it Laura, plant that peony bush, you won’t regret it! xo
