Hi there! Welcome to our cozy Christmas… In January! đ SO, it’s actually a V E R Y Happy New Year and not a Merry Christmas – don’t worry I know what day it is. đ And, before you think I’ve totally lost it, let me explain. Christmas for me this year was hectic (as it is for everyone) so, I decided to do something a little different this year. I decided to let it go! Not letting actual Christmas go, I just decided to enjoy the work we did getting ready for Christmas instead of putting myself on a deadline. I decided to let the stress go, letting the stress of getting a photo shoot done for a post in mid December – GO. Don’t get me wrong, I wanted to… but I was putting unnecessary stress on myself and it was killing my joy of the season. So I let that ~ish go. But I did snap some photos during the season and I’d love to share them now, in a relaxing non-deadline kind of way. I hope you will enjoy a little Christmas in January with me. <3

Our Cozy Christmas
My favourite this season was our mantel… it was old fashioned and so cozy!Â
Having fires is my favourite way to spend a cozy evening.
I love seeing the mantel from our kitchen too, it’s pretty much the centre of our home.Â
The sun was painting everything, it was so wonderful…Â
Cozy Vignettes
Layering and putting all of my favourite things together, makes me happy.
Little details of cozy!Â
Simple and calming.Â
Twinkle lights make everything better! My Mom’s sifter, so many precious memories! <3Â
Special gifts take centre stage in our home… wrapped in all of the memories.Â
He sees you when you’re sleeping… in a non creepy way. đÂ
My Dundee obsession continues to grow! đ And, I’m not mad about it.Â
Dried oranges are such a fun way to add colour and texture, a must do tradition. See how I dry orange slices here.
More Precious Memories
This was SOOOOO fun! This snap was a quick one with my phone one of the best moments of the season! <3Â
Simple Cozy Living Room
I truly hope you had yourself a merry little Christmas! xo We loved all the moments!Â
I’ve since taken all of the greenery down, but I have left this bottle shelf (minus the Christmas stuff), I LOVE it! Do you still have any Christmas up?
Christmas Cabinet
Cabinets are one of the places I love to vignette… this cabinet wasn’t forgotten, and still looks wintery and cozy.Â
This is still up, I just love it and it looks like a winter forest to me.Â
Thank you all so much for stopping in! xoxo I hope 2020 is peaceful and kind to each and every one of you! xoxoxo

I love all the orange slices you added this year. They always remind me of an old fashioned Christmas! Happy New Year my friend.
Thanks Dawn! I’ve been doing orange slices since as far back as I can remember, I was kind of tickled that it’s a thing this year. đ
I love that you found a way to take some of the stress away from the holidays so that you had more space to enjoy those special moments. Your home looks so cozy and welcoming and your photographs are just gorgeous as always my friend! Happy new year Laurie!
Thank you my lovely friend! I am trying to push that stress away more and more, not always easy, but so worth it!
I love your Christmas. Love. It.
I hardly took any pix…there was so much hectic and nothing photo op worthy. And i just found the oranges i wanted to imitate you with…in the basement fridge.
Your gingerbread house is amazing!
Also, I fell asleep at 10:30 on NYE.
Thanks Jeri! xoxoxox I hope you ate those oranges hahaha and will try again next year, I know you will love how the light comes through each slice!
No one does vintage Christmas quite like you, Laurie! We did something different this year too. We rented a cabin for Christmas and celebrated the holiday with all the family together there. No stress of having to clean and cook. It was wonderful. Your gingerbread houses and cherubs are adorable!
Thank you so much Jennifer! xoxo Your Christmas sounds magical, so many precious memories! My cherubs are the cutest! đ
Beautiful photos, Laurie! So glad you were able to have a relaxed Christmas! I let a lot go this year, too…so I could do what I really wanted to do…
Thank you Linda! xoxoxo I’m so glad you were able to let some stuff go and enjoy your season!
I’m so glad you shared your cozy Christmas, Laurie! We all get so busy at Christmas and I somehow missed seeing your beautiful Christmas home! Love it all!!!
