Our cozy Christmas – Cozy Living

Hi there! Welcome to our cozy Christmas… In January! 😉 SO, it’s actually a V E R Y Happy New Year and not a Merry Christmas – don’t worry I know what day it is. 😉 And, before you think I’ve totally lost it, let me explain. Christmas for me this year was hectic (as it is for everyone) so, I decided to do something a little different this year. I decided to let it go! Not letting actual Christmas go, I just decided to enjoy the work we did getting ready for Christmas instead of putting myself on a deadline. I decided to let the stress go, letting the stress of getting a photo shoot done for a post in mid December – GO. Don’t get me wrong, I wanted to… but I was putting unnecessary stress on myself and it was killing my joy of the season. So I let that ~ish go. But I did snap some photos during the season and I’d love to share them now, in a relaxing non-deadline kind of way. I hope you will enjoy a little Christmas in January with me. <3

Welcome to 2020!!! We actually made it to midnight and had a wonderful stay at home evening, I hope you rang in the New Year in a perfect for you way too! A New Year and a new cozy living blog post, I’m already feeling accomplished.  This cozy living series is hosted by, Jennifer over at Town & Country Living. Our Cozy Christmas

My favourite this season was our mantel… it was old fashioned and so cozy! 

 Having fires is my favourite way to spend a cozy evening.

I love seeing the mantel from our kitchen too, it’s pretty much the centre of our home. 

The sun was painting everything, it was so wonderful…

Layering and putting all of my favourite things together, makes me happy.

Simple and calming. 

Twinkle lights make everything better! My Mom’s sifter, so many precious memories! <3 

Special gifts take centre stage in our home… wrapped in all of the memories. 

He sees you when you’re sleeping… in a non creepy way. 😉 

My Dundee obsession continues to grow! 😉 And, I’m not mad about it. 

Dried oranges are such a fun way to add colour and texture, a must do tradition. See how I dry orange slices here.

Simple Cozy Living Room

I truly hope you had yourself a merry little Christmas! xo We loved all the moments! 

I’ve since taken all of the greenery down, but I have left this bottle shelf (minus the Christmas stuff), I LOVE it! Do you still have any Christmas up?

Christmas Cabinet

Cabinets are one of the places I love to vignette… this cabinet wasn’t forgotten, and still looks wintery and cozy. 

This is still up, I just love it and it looks like a winter forest to me.
